Mark,

Business 101 requires relishing competition where ever you can find it. Comparisons to Boulder are healthy. My reaction was hasty, as we really need to succeed here in the TV. Besides our cost of living has to be significantly lower than Boulder. Let's ask Coach Hawk and his assistants about that?

Let the entrepreneurial contrasts, debates and collaboration continue.

Hi John,

As someone who has invested in start-ups both on the east coast and here in the Intermountain West, I continue to believe that Boulder is one of the best places in the world to start a company. The ecosystem of support is tremendous and easily accessible. We're trying hard here in Boise to take the best of what Boulder has to offer and make our own start-up ecosystem be the best that it can be!

Hey John,

That\\'s the shitty part about blogging, you need to carefully watch how you frame everything because you never know who you\\'re going to offend! Mea Culpa my friend, didn\\'t mean anything negative about incubators. Incubators like BSU TECenter and TechRanch in Bozeman serve a critical role in the start-up continuum! Hope you\\'ll let me buy lunch when you come by!

My favorite part of this post was this "Boulder is a very collaborative town to begin with. " I agree. Boulder is just the right size so that different industry groups need to mix because few groups are big enough to sustain a independent community. Yet we are big enough to have a wealth of entrepreneurs that never want to leave the front range.

Hi Mark,

Don't be too tough on us local incubators. We will be stopping by one of these days to let you know what we are up to here at the BSU TECenter. You might be surprised.

Besides who wants to drive all the way and stay in Colorado for 3 months?

Entrepreneurially yours,
