Bill Joos Entrepreneur Bootcamp

Posted by: Glenn Michael

Boise entrepreneurs have a wonderful and unique opportunity next Monday, April 13, 2009.  Highway 12 Ventures, along with our co-sponsors, Hawley Troxell, the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association and Boise State University’s College of Business, are bringing  Bill Joos to Boise for a one-day entrepreneur bootcamp at the Jordan Ballroom in BSU’s student union building.

Bill is the principal behind Go To Market Consulting and was a co-founder of Garage Technology with Guy Kawasaki.  My partners and I have a long history with Bill, and most recently we brought Bill to Bozeman for a similar event.  The feedback from the attendees was genuinely terrific and TechRanch subsequently took Bill Joos to Missoula, MT for a similar event.

If you are an entrepreneur, student, business owner or manager, you will benefit from the training, since the principles covered are applicable to presentations to an investor, bank or customer.  Bill will cover his Top Ten Mistakes in a Business Plan, Perfecting Your Positioning and Perfecting Your Pitch.  We will also have a panel discussion with local entrepreneurs, moderated by Bill Joos.  Here is a pdf to the event flyer.  I encourage you to attend and know you will take away great information and ideas.  I will follow up next week after the event some of the relevant ideas and lessons.

    Guys,
I just got turned on to your blog, thanks to Brad Feld’s promo. I’m looking forward to staying current with the site.
I do have one suggestion – will you consider looking into a commenting system like Disqus or IntenseDebate? They really facilitate community building – as I’m sure Brad will tell you (he uses IntDeb). The people who have the most constructive input are often looking for an audit-able comment trail that can be fed to social networking aggregators, a feature these services provide.
Again, good luck with the blog – I’m looking forward to your insights.
    Matt
